Review from a purchaser in USA
"Aruna Mene’s fabric art is so beautiful! I first saw her work on a Facebook site dedicated to the up-cycling of formerly used fabric. I found her website and fell in love with her work. I was thrilled when I discovered that one of her landscapes that I especially loved not already been sold. So I emailed Aruna and was able to purchase it. Even though we live an ocean apart, Aruna made the purchase arrangements and shipping simple, quick and secure. Of course, when I saw the artwork in person, it was even more intricate and wonderfully made than I was able to see on the internet. I am overjoyed to have her beautiful creation in my home now. It is completely special in its design, colors, texture, and shapes. Aruna’s masterpieces are marvelous and fascinating to experience. And she contributes the profit from her sales to charity as well. Many thanks, Aruna, for your wonderful work and contributions!"

- 'I came in expecting the unexpected & I wasn't disappointed' PRESENTATION AT OVERTON WI 15th March 2022
- I really enjoyed the talk and the artwork.
- She was fabulous - talented, creative and so committed to charity work.
- Clearly a very intelligent and talented lady in more ways than one. Her care for the planet and helping others was so apparent.
- She's an inspiration. I'd love one of those jackets! She even had a handbag to match hers.
- I really enjoyed Aruna's talk. Inspiring.Sorry I couldn't get there as it would have been up my street! Does she do sessions, perhaps a few of us could get-together and go on one if not over expensive?
- I thought she was wonderful - the charities she supports, the techniques, the interesting travel inspirations, her eco work etc etc
- I enjoyed her talk and found it really interesting in what she does with waste fabric.
Dear Aruna,
I have spoken to the ladies now and I’m pleased to say that every response was very positive. They loved the visual pictures of your work and were very in awe of your talent. They enjoyed the way that the pictures really gave them a feel of each country you were depicting. They had never had a speaker before who had been able to show them work like this and appreciated the unique work that you do.
Many of the ladies as you probably noticed are getting on in age and have hearing problems, but I didn’t get anyone saying they couldn’t hear you and they felt the length of the talk was just right.
Personally, I have seen two talks now and have really enjoyed both. In your first, I loved the personal history about your work…..I would love to have had the intelligence and skill to have been able to have a career such as yours! I loved the slides of different bacteria and everyday things like water under magnification. I loved the vodka one too!
In this talk it was amazing to follow you around all the different countries and see scenes depicted in your fabrics.
The ladies and I got much pleasure from your talk so Thank you so much.
I wish you well in your move and I’m sure you will be just as popular and in demand there as soon as they get to hear about you. The WI and the NAWC would certainly be interested in having your contact details.
Wishing you well in your future,
J F
Feedback from talk at Oswaldtwistle WI April 2022
We all found your talk truly inspirational, not only in describing the great variety of places you have visited but also in the thought provoking pieces which reflect your work in medicine. I was amazed at the intricacies of your pictures with the great variety of colours in such tiny pieces of fabric. It was great to feel the buzz of enthusiasm when the members looked over the samples of different types of craft work which you had on display. I have no doubt some will be embarking on collage work in their craft sessions.
Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to listen to your very interesting story, it is amazing what you have achieved.
